Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2020 opens its gates to the Public

 Greater Noida (face warta), February 7, 2020: Auto Expo - The Motor Show 2020, opened its gates to the business visitors today, witnessing an overwhelming response and a huge turnout. Visitors kept thronging the expo mart throughout the day, to witness the latest technology updates in the offering by vehicle manufacturers and many start-ups in the Indian automotive market.

The auto show was graced by the presence of Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Union Minister of State Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises and Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India. Prominent Indian actress & social activist Nafisa Ali visited the auto expo and Fashion designers Gauri & Nainika visited the Maruti Suzuki pavilion.


The auto show featured Cartist, India’s first automobile art platform, which brings creative artists together of various genres & styles with an aim to inspire young creative minds to foster their creativity and live art with cars. Cartist has been part of Auto Expo extravaganza since the last edition, working towards creating a sustainable auto-art eco-system that helps old automobiles and their parts live their second life through a unique fusion with local art styles in the form of everyday furniture.

The excitement amongst the visitors was discernable as visitor from all age groups were seen congregating around the stellar line-up of vehicles displayed by the manufacturers. On the business day, Maruti Suzuki unveiled the new IGNIS, which is is powered by peppy 1.2 litre BS-VI compliant petrol engine, providing a smooth and comfortable driving experience. MG Motor India, unveiled its luxury SUV GLOSTER and the luxury MPV G10. Ralsons, owners of the RALCO automotive tyre brand launched the innovative and ecofriendly ECORACER tyre for motorcycles, today.

An experience zone has been created at the auto show where, everyday manufacturers are giving the visitors an opportunity to get a feel and driving experience of their vehicles. Today, Volkswagen undertook this experience drive of the Polo D & Vento TSI, at a specially created track for the visitors and potential customers to drive both the vehicles. Hero Cycles also undertook the experience drive of Lectro E-Cycles and also enjoy stunts being performed at the venue by stunt artists. Tomorrow the experience zone will be created by MG Motors in the morning and KIA Motors in the evening.

Concurrently, on the sidelines of the auto show, 9th Auto Trade Dialogue and Global Electrification Mobility Summit – GEMS 2020 was held. 

Auto Expo – The Motor Show 2020 is the proud platform for the announcement of the World Car of the Year (WCOTY) 10 finalists. It is an exemplary feat that WCOTY's 86-member global jury including six judges from India have chosen the Delhi Expo for a significant stop in this year's process to choose the world's best automobiles. Following this will be the declaration of the top three, at the Geneva motor show this March, while the winners in each of these categories will be revealed at the New York International Auto Show on April 8, 2020. The WCOTY pavilion is showcasing award winning cars - Volkswagen Polo, Jaguar F-Pace and Volvo XC60.

The Super Car Pavilion is an instant attraction to the visitors and has generated a lot of frenzy, displaying some of the most exquisite luxury supercars in the world. These include beauties like Aston Martin Lagonda DB11 Coup, Lamborghini Aventador, Porsche 911, to name a few which have become the show stoppers at this edition of the auto show.The business day of the auto expo also had a vehicle winner’s contest, open to all the ticket holders. Mr.  Anand Geethan, won a lucky draw on day one and has become the owner of Hero Cycle – Lectro Glide. The lucky draws will be organised every day, throughout the duration of the Auto Expo.
