Greater Noida :- (Bharat Bhushan ) G.D. Goenka Public School, Greater Noida, hosted the Under 13 – Inter School Football Tournament within its premises. The match details were looked over by the Football Coach Mr. Nitin Pandey. Twelve teams from schools of Noida, Greater Noida and Ghaziabad participated in this tournament. The selection matches were played on Day 1, Thursday, May 9, 2019. Day 2, Friday, May 10, 2019, was the much awaited day for all the young footballers. Many of them remembered the famous words of famous footballer Ronaldinho –“I learnt all about life with a ball at my feet.” Coaches of participating teams motivated their teams to play to the best of their ability. The first Semi Final Match was between Pragyan School,
Greater Noida and Urshaline School, Greater Noida. Urshaline School won by 3-1 and qualified for the Final Match. The second Semi Final Match was played between G.D. Goenka Public School, Greater Noida and Sun Valley School, Ghaziabad. Sun Valley School won by 3-1.The Final Match was played between Urshaline School and Sun Valley School and Urshaline School won by 3-0. The Final Match Result is: 1st Position – Urshaline School, Greater Noida: 2nd Position – Sun Valley School, Ghaziabad; 3rd Position – G.D. Goenka Public School, Greater Noida and Pragyan School, Greater Noida. The winners were overjoyed holding their sparkling Trophies aloft and cheering and clapping. Principal, Dr. Renu Sehgal, praised the efforts of all the students and their coaches and clapped for their winning and sportsmanspirit.
