Greater noida :-( Bbharat bhushan sharma ) Goenka Public School, Greater Noida, celebrated 'Labour Day' with the morning assembly being conducted by the students of Grade XII-Humanities Section on Tuesday, 30th April, 2019. After the school prayer, important facts about this day were highlighted. 'May Day', as it is also
referred to in South East Asia, is a day assigned to honour workers. 'May Day' or 'Labour Day' has been celebrated as a National holiday in the United States and Canada since 1894. It is a day to be remembered as the contribution of workers and labour force to build and strengthen the economy of any country. Students also presented a skit through which they conveyed the message of dignity and honour towards the workers. Principal, Dr. Renu Sehgal, appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers for the presentation of the assembly which conveyed a strong social message and also talked about the workers of the school for their contribution in the smooth functioning of the institution and their untiring efforts for the welfare of the students.
