Greater noida (bharat bhushan sharma) G.D. Goenka Public School, Greater Noida, celebrated the annual Scholars Award Ceremony for the session 2018-19 on 27th April, 2019, to recognize and honour meritorious students from Grades I to XII who have excelled in the scholastic field. The occasion was made even more special by the benign presence of Chief Guest Brigadier H.S. Dhani, Director, Amity University, Greater Noida, and the proud parents of the awardees. In her welcome address, Principal, Dr. Renu Sehgal, emphasized that education means 'systematic tutelage' and it enables the learners to realize their self-potential by providing opportunities to express their latent talents.
The event's ambience reverberated with the musical welcome song, a mellifluous amalgamation of melody, harmony and rhythm by the students as they extended an elated welcome to the august gathering. More than 110 students were the proud recipients of the coveted Scholar Badge. While lauding the students for their commendable efforts, the Chief Guest stressed that it is the duty of every educational institution to impart quality education to the children of the country so that they turn out to be educated, responsible participating citizens of the country.
The programme was made memorable with dances by students depicting the Indian and western amalgamation and a western dance to foot-tapping music.
